The Tecnosystem D3-CM is a fast-hole EDM machine (or EDM drilling machine/super-drilling machine).

In machining workshops, it is commonly used as auxiliary equipment for wire cutting to create the initial holes through which the cutting wire is subsequently passed.

Function: Fast drilling using an electric arc on conductive materials (hardened steels, etc.) using rotating tubular electrodes made of brass or copper.
Key applications: Drilling threading holes for EDM wire, extracting broken taps, and creating small cooling or ejection holes in molds and dies.
System: High-pressure injection of dielectric fluid through the tubular electrode.
