1. General Description

The SCM Topset XL is a four-sided planer and moulder for the woodworking industry, manufactured by SCM Group (Italy). It is designed for efficient machining of solid wood, profiled, and framing workpieces (such as windows, doors, and furniture components) in continuous feed production.

2. Basic Concept and Design

The Topset XL is a heavy-duty through-feed planer moulder featuring:
- Horizontal and vertical spindles allowing simultaneous machining of all four sides of a workpiece
- Belt/cardan feed systems for consistent material transport
- SET-UP quick-change system for rapid tooling setup
- Electronic control and regulation for feed speed and spindle positioning

The machine features a heavy, torsion-resistant base frame constructed from welded steel and precision-machined on CNC centers to ensure high accuracy and durability.
