The condition of the spindle is fine, without major damage. Until the last moment, the machine produced accurately and within tolerance. Regarding the non-functional tool change gearbox – there is increased clearance in the gearbox, so when changing the tool, when entering the spindle, it is not in the optimal spindle axis. The bearing/cam/ is probably damaged in the gearbox. Service work is performed by an authorized service for OKUMA machines.
