Overview

This Krones Sander Hansen tunnel pasteurizer was built in 2003 for the pasteurization of beer in glass bottles. It is a double-deck machine with a nominal capacity of 40,000 bottles per hour on 0.5 l bottles. Its 12 treatment zones - 4 regenerative zone pairs and 4 pasteurizing zones - cover a treatment area of 241.6 m². At the design point it delivers 25.3 PU at 60 °C, with a total treatment time of 54.2 min (17.2 min heating, 19.9 min pasteurizing, 17.2 min cooling) from an inlet temperature of 12 °C to an outlet temperature of approx. 35 °C.
