Log yard with restacking unit
Complete log handling system from the log receiving area to the transfer to the debarking line. The system performs automatic log handling, singulation, end trimming, metal detection, butt end reduction, debarking, 3D measurement, and sorting of the logs.

Key technical data

Capacity: approx. 30,000 m³ of logs in a single-shift operation
Log diameter: approx. 160–660 mm
Log lengths: 4,000–5,250 mm
Special lengths up to 6,100 mm
Long logs up to approx. 20 m
Herzog processor head with 55 kW hydraulic unit
End trimming diameter up to approx. 700 mm
Integrated metal detection
Hobest Primus butt end reducer for log diameters up to 900 mm
EWD ER 90 debarker with rotor opening 100–900 mm
Rotor drive: 45 kW, frequency-controlled
Tedpfezvyl Ajx Appsd
Feed speed during debarking up to 30 m/min
Calibrated Microtec 3D log scanner
Sorting block conveyor with five hydraulic discharge stations
The restacking unit automatically returns, singulates, and realigns the logs for feeding to the debarking line. It consists of, among other things, an approx. 18 m long log handling conveyor, a four-stage inclined conveyor, a 90° curved conveyor, a double-strand block conveyor, a transverse conveyor, and an integrated log turner.

The restacking unit can be purchased separately if required.
